QUARRY PINES GOLF CLUB
Quarry Pines Golf Club is Tucson’s first “quarry course.” The original course was built on the edge of a sand and gravel quarry. When the quarry closed in 2000, the course owner and the City of Marana relocated 10 of the holes into the old quarry.
The course layout has narrow fairways, thousands of pine trees, and cliff-side drop-offs that require accurate and strategic shot-making. After the front nine, the back nine drops down ten stories into the quarry. The course offers dramatic elevation changes and stunning views of the Tucson Mountains.
The course features 5 par 3’s, 9 par 4’s and 4 par 5’s from 4 different tee boxes.

STARR PASS GOLF CLUB
Sidehill Sam Sez;
Starr Pass gained the reputation of being a difficult course when it ranked among the highest average scores on the PGA TOUR during its tenure as host of the Tucson Open.
Starr Pass Country Club & Spa features 27 holes of Arnold Palmer Signature Golf in a Sonoran desert golf setting. The course hosted the PGA Tucson Open from 1987 to 1996 and gained the reputation of being one of the more challenging courses on the tour. The club offers 3 different 9 hole courses which can be paired into 18 holes.
The Rattler Course is considered the most difficult side at Starr Pass. The 3rd and 5th holes were rated as two of the most challenging holes on the PGA Tour. The 5th hole features a split fairway that forces golfers to make a difficult decision off the tee.
The Coyote Course is the longest of the three tracks measuring 3,512 yards, but it also provides golfers with the most relaxing, open layout at Starr Pass.
The Roadrunner Course stretches only 3,241 yards, but the steep elevation changes and often windy conditions make it an excellent test of golf.
The Rattler Course features 2 par 3’s, 5 par 4’s and 2 par 5’s. The Coyote Course features 2 par 3’s, 5 par 4’s and 2 par 5’s; the Roadrunner Course features 3 par 3’s, 4 par 4’s and 2 par fives. All offer 6 different tee boxes.
