Participate in the centuries-old Sonoran Desert springtime ritual of harvesting and preparing cholla buds. You will de-spine them, observe how to cook and pickle them, and take your harvest home. We will also share natural and cultural history pertaining to the cholla. Each session will have two groups of 9 participants each, with a maximum of 18 sign-ups for the same morning. The two groups will be kept separate.
